Distance Reiki

    Reiki is a spiritually directed life-force energy and is not limited by time and space.  This means that you can receive a Reiki treatment with me even if we are not in the same place together.  Distance reiki treatments are as effective as in-person treatments.
    First, you contact me by e-mail to arrange a time for your treatment.  At this time please let me know if there is anything in particular that you would like to work on, or if you have questions about distance healing.  Distance treatments are generally 30 minutes long. 
    At the time of your treatment, I recommend that you go to a quiet place and lay down to rest.  You may even want to play some relaxing music.  It is not necessary to be in a quiet place in order to receive a distance Reiki treatment, but you will be more relaxed and will likely enjoy the experience more if you are comfortable.  
    During the treatment, I make a connection to you using Reiki techniques used in Reiki Level II.  I generally begin by working on your head and throat and then working on the front and back of the body.  I will spend extra time working on any specific issues that you have let me know about.  During the treatment, you may feel calm and peaceful, and you may even feel the energy moving through your body.  Sensations experienced are similar to those described for in-person Reiki treatments.  The energy you feel is Reiki; I only act as a pathway for the energy.  You draw in the Reiki that you need and you and Reiki are truly the healers.
    At the close of the treatment, I mentally thank you for allowing me the priveledge of being part of your Reiki treatment.  When we scheduled your appointment you may have requested a follow-up call, in which case I will contact you after the treatment to see if you have any questions.  Many people do not like to be disturbed right after the treatment, in which case I will contact you by e-mail, or call you the following day.
    After the treatment you may feel relatively normal, or energetic, or sleepy.  Just as with in-person treatments, your body may need time to adjust to the amount of energy it has taken in and to detoxify any energetic blocks that were released during the treatment.  It is helpful to drink some extra water for the next day or two to assist with the detoxification process. 
    Reiki does not take the place of medical or psychiatric care.  I do not offer any type of diagnosis or prescription, but I am happy to discuss anything that came up for you during the treatment.

Distance Reiki treatments are $25 for 30 minutes
